Fired from the Medieval City, the Carcassonne fireworks display is the must-see event in the world, attracting hundreds of thousands of people every year.

It has become one of the most famous and most beautiful fireworks displays in France, lighting up the city’s skies every year since 1898.

Come and watch this extraordinary and unforgettable show. Golden rain, butterflies and whirlwinds, hearts and smileys, palm trees, stroboscopic stars… will delight young and old.

The Tour de France

Carcassonne will host the arrival of the 15th stage of the Tour de France 2025! Carcassonne will once again be in the spotlight this summer as the finish city for the Tour de France on Sunday, July 20, 2025!

This long-awaited event will bring together cycling enthusiasts and the people of Carcassonne for a historic moment, as the 15th stage will lead the riders from Muret to the medieval city, offering an unforgettable spectacle.

Carcassonne Game Festival

September 13 and 14 2025

The 4th edition of the festival returns to Carcassonne.

Discover animations in different historical universes installed in the Medieval City of Carcassonne, with games tables, shows and workshops of all kinds on a very specific time.

Many goodies and surprises exclusive to this event are also planned throughout the weekend!

Knightly tournaments

From July 13 to August 28, 2025

To the rhythm of horses and the clash of weapons, knights battle mercilessly in a grand setting. A family-friendly show lasting 45 minutes, offering seated and shaded spots in the stands.

The last week-end of august

A real festive event, the Feria de Carcassonne invites you to discover traditional Spanish and Sevillian music and dance.

The Feria de Carcassonne returns in its traditional form with 4 days of festivities in the city centre (bodegas, concerts, Sevillian dances…).

Carcassonne lights up and puts on its winter coat. From the Bastide Saint-Louis to the Medieval City, Carcassonne does everything possible to offer you the most beautiful of Christmases.

Sensational attractions, concerts, street entertainment, magical decorations and lights, an ice rink, a Christmas market, a Ferris wheel, a carousel and a multitude of shows will be available to you throughout the month of December.

The International Political Film Festival (FIFP) is a film festival for the general public and schoolchildren highlighting exceptional works.

For four days in January each year, the city of Carcassonne celebrates cinema and political works.
