A festival not to be missed

Ranked among the top 10 largest French festivals with its 120 shows and concerts each year, 80 of which are free on 12 stages, the Carcassonne Festival attracts nearly 200,000 spectators.

See you in July in Carcassonne, every year.

The Grand Fireworks display of the Medieval City

Fired from the Medieval City, the Carcassonne fireworks display is the must-see event in the world, attracting hundreds of thousands of people every year.

It has become one of the most famous and most beautiful fireworks displays in France, lighting up the city’s skies every year since 1898.

Come and watch this extraordinary and unforgettable show. Golden rain, butterflies and whirlwinds, hearts and smileys, palm trees, stroboscopic stars… will delight young and old.

The Magic of Chistmas (La Magie de Noël)

A month of magic, a month of enchantment

Carcassonne lights up and puts on its winter coat. From the Bastide Saint-Louis to the Medieval City, Carcassonne does everything possible to offer you the most beautiful of Christmases.

Sensational attractions, concerts, street entertainment, magical decorations and lights, an ice rink, a Christmas market, a Ferris wheel, a carousel and a multitude of shows will be available to you throughout the month of December.

International Political Film Festival

Discover the world’s political works!

The International Political Film Festival (FIFP) is a film festival for the general public and schoolchildren highlighting exceptional works.

For four days in January each year, the city of Carcassonne celebrates cinema and political works.

Carcassonne Games Festival

September 10 and 11, 2022

Come play the game inspired by the city!

Whether it’s Medieval or board games, Carcassonne is honored in the medieval city all weekend long.

Find free animations on the theme of the Middle Ages but also free activities on the “Meeples” (famous little pawns of the game).

The Grand Tournois National Carcassonne is also organized on Saturday September 11 to try to win a place for the World Championship.

In addition, surprises are up for grabs for certain activities!

The Feria of Carcassonne

From the 25th to the 28th of August 2022

A real festive event, the Feria de Carcassonne invites you to discover traditional Spanish and Sevillian music and dance.

After an absence of 2 years, the Feria de Carcassonne returns in its traditional form with 4 days of festivities in the city centre (bodegas, concerts, Sevillian dances…).
