It is very easy and quick to walk from one point to another in the city of Carcassonne. Its streets, paths and greenery are your guides during your stay.

Public Transport

City bus, RTCA (local company) Network

From Monday to Saturday, from 6.30am to 9pm, travel on the 11 lines of the RTCA urban network! The year is divided into two periods: “Monday to Friday during the school year” and “Saturday and school holidays“. On Sundays and public holidays, discover the “Sunday” Line serving the main areas of the city. It is very easy to get from point A to point B, here are the lines you need to know:

  • Line 3 takes you from the Canal du Midi to the Narbonnaise Gate in the Medieval City.
  • Line 4 takes you from the Canal du Midi to the Saint-Gimer church at the bottom of the Medieval City.
  • Line 2 takes you from the Canal du Midi to the Avenue du Général Leclerc below the Medieval City.

Shuttle from Carcassonne Airport

Join the airport from the city-center or join Carcassonne as soon as you arrive at the airport.

  • 6€ per person and valid all day, free for children under 5
  • Wifi and USB plugs on board
  • To the airport, the Shuttle timetable is adapted to the flight schedule and allows you to arrive at the airport 1 hour before check-in.
  • To Carcassonne, the Shuttle departs after each flight arrival and disembarkation of passengers.
