From Thursday, October 15 to Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Carcassonne Wine Festival returns to Place Carnot, in the heart of the Bastide Saint-Louis. Over three festive evenings, discover the wines of the Aude, meet more than 30 local wine producers and wine merchants, savour regional specialities, and enjoy a free music programme featuring brass bands, live concerts and DJ sets.
Organised by the City of Carcassonne in collaboration with the Aude Chamber of Agriculture, the Carcassonne Wine Festival is a must-attend autumn event celebrating the richness of the Aude region’s wine-growing and culinary heritage. Every year, this event showcases local wines, winemaking traditions and the expertise that have made the Aude renowned, right in the heart of the Bastide Saint-Louis.
For three days, Place Carnot becomes a meeting place for sharing local produce and celebrating the Occitan art of living. The Wine Festival invites residents, visitors and food lovers to enjoy a friendly atmosphere, explore the region’s local treasures and celebrate the wine-growing identity of Carcassonne and its surrounding area.
A land of vineyards and traditions, the Aude boasts a remarkable diversity of terroirs that contribute to the richness of Languedoc wines. From appellations such as Cabardès, Minervois, Corbières and Malepère to wines bearing the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Pays d’Oc label, the region offers a wide variety of landscapes, grape varieties and winemaking expertise that reflect the diversity of local production.
The Carcassonne Wine Festival is an opportunity to showcase this rich heritage and highlight the essential role of viticulture in the region’s identity and local economy. It helps introduce visitors to the Aude’s wine-growing heritage and promote traditions passed down through generations.
Whether you are a fan of Languedoc wines, a food enthusiast or simply curious to discover local traditions, the Carcassonne Wine Festival celebrates the heritage, conviviality and authenticity of the Aude region.
The 2026 Wine Festival combines wine discovery, local gastronomy and live music. From 5:45 pm, meet the producers at Place Carnot and enjoy a festive programme featuring brass bands, live concerts and DJ sets. All scheduled musical performances are free.
The first evening kicks off the Wine Festival with the arrival of the horse-drawn carriage and its grape harvest at 5:45 pm, followed by the official opening ceremony at 6:30 pm.
6 pm – 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm – 10 pm: Cartoon Show, a modern, lively and interactive electric brass band that invites the audience to join in.
7:30 pm – 9 pm: Slim Paul Tribute, a pop-rock concert featuring a rhythm section, with covers of iconic artists such as U2, The Cure, the Rolling Stones, Oasis and the Beatles, as well as soul tracks.
10 pm – midnight: MatDJay, a DJ set to keep the evening going with a vibrant musical atmosphere.
The second evening puts the spotlight on festive rhythms and musical discoveries.
6:30 pm – 7:30 pm and 9 pm – 10 pm: Parade Hip Hop Brass Band, a brass band blending hip-hop, jazz and funk in a festive, inclusive spirit.
7:30 pm – 9 pm: Sébastopol, a one-man band presenting a truly portable musical theatre experience combining magic, showmanship and musical performance.
10 pm – midnight: DJ Haute Couture, bringing the evening to a close with a selection of tracks to keep you dancing.
On the final evening, the Wine Festival continues with an eclectic, dance-friendly programme.
6:30 pm – 7:30 pm and 9 pm – 10 pm: Gradisca, a brass band at the crossroads of Balkan music and jazz, driven by brass instruments and refined arrangements.
7:30 pm – 9 pm: Two for Five, a pop-rock duo reimagining hits and classics by bands such as Toto, the Beatles, Supertramp and Pink Floyd.
10 pm – midnight: DJ NAT, a DJ and producer who takes the audience on a journey through urban and electronic sounds.
Discover a variety of stalls, each featuring a wine producer or vineyard paired with a local food business. The list below is not exhaustive and may be subject to change.
