From Carcassonne, head for Lastours via Conques-sur-Orbiel. Not to be missed! The belvedere. Leave Lastours and head for Mas Cabardès via Les Ilhes on the D9. Enter Roquefère then turn left towards Cubserviès on the D8005 and continue for 13 km. Leave the village and head towards Pradelles-Cabardès and the Pic de Nore on the D1009. Continue for a few kilometres and then turn left towards the Hameau de Lacombe. Cross the hamlet until you reach a junction where you turn right onto the D112. About 6 kms from Pradelles-Cabardès is the Pic de Nore, the highest point of the Black Mountain. Go back down to Pradelles-Cabardès and take the D112 towards Villeneuve-Minervois. Go through Cabrespine and at the exit continue for a few kilometres and turn right towards the Gouffre Géant. Take the road back to Carcassonne via Villeneuve-Minervois.
