Welcome to the Medieval Camp

in the heart of the Medieval City of Carcassonne !

All year round, you can visit the Medieval Camp in the Cité of Carcassonne.

This Medieval Camp represents the various trades that were present when the Lord travelled to meet his subjects.

Workshops, demonstrations and events are planned throughout the summer for the enjoyment of young and old alike!

Many medieval crafts are represented in the stalls of the Medieval Camp.

Come understand and immerse yourself in this way of life so different but so close to ours. Chain mail manufacturer, apothecary, copyist monk… will have no secrets for you.

Also discover how the lords lived, washed and dined at that time.

Medieval Workshops

Discover the arts of the Middle Ages

The Medieval Workshops are held every Wednesday, at weekends and every day during the school holidays.

The perfect opportunity for children (aged 6 to 11) to discover the arts of the Middle Ages in the heart of the medieval city of Carcassonne.

Birthday at the Medieval Camp

Come celebrate your birthday in the Medieval Camp in the heart of the City of Carcassonne. Knight Gwen or Lady Eleanor will show you around this Camp, then demonstrate your bravery with a Knight/Knightess Course Workshop and discover the art of writing with a Calligraphy Workshop.

Your afternoon will end with a snack organized by you.

Birthday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays outside school holidays.
