World Music Day returns to Carcassonne on June 21st for a festive evening centered on conviviality and musical discovery. As every year, residents and visitors are invited to enjoy free concerts in the city center, in the heart of the Bastide Saint-Louis.
For this edition, two stages will host artists throughout the evening: Place Carnot and Hôtel de Rolland. Musical entertainment will also be offered on Rue Courtejaire starting in the afternoon.
Whether you’re a fan of contemporary music, percussion, choral singing, or simply looking for a must-see event in Carcassonne, World Music Day is the event not to miss to celebrate the arrival of summer.
World Music Day Program in Carcassonne
Place Carnot
Organized in partnership with the GISC association, the Place Carnot stage will host several groups and artists throughout the evening.
19h00 – Aléa Percussion
Kick off the evening with the dynamic and festive rhythms of Aléa Percussion.
19h30 – Madak en Duo
A close-knit duo offering a repertoire blending varied influences and a warm atmosphere.
20h10 – QLN
The band QLN takes the stage for an energetic concert in the heart of the Bastide.
20h50 – Lula Maria Duo
A musical interlude carried by the voice and sensitivity of Lula Maria Duo.
22h00 – D’Jam Tribu
The evening continues with D’Jam Tribu for a festive and rhythmic finale on Place Carnot.
Hôtel de Rolland
21h15 – L’Harmonie Municipale et les Chœurs de Carcassonne
In the prestigious setting of the Hôtel de Rolland, home to Carcassonne’s town hall, the Municipal Harmony Band and the Carcassonne Choirs will perform a concert bringing together musicians and choristers for a program accessible to all.
La rue Courtejaire en fête dès 14h
Before the evening concerts begin, Rue Courtejaire will come alive starting at 2 PM with musical performances, entertainment, and a festive atmosphere in one of the liveliest streets of the city center.
This event allows visitors to fully enjoy World Music Day throughout the day and discover the shops, cafés, and restaurants of the Bastide Saint-Louis.
