From Europe's largest circulade at Bram, cyclists can reach the famous medieval city of Carcassonne by following the Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Away from motor traffic, the towpath of the Canal du Midi is open to cyclists, but its earth and gravel surface requires a suitable bike, mountain bike, VTC or gravel.
