EXPOSITION "POP’UP COLLECTIONS"

From June 5 to October 17, 2026, Carcassonne will host the exceptional exhibition “Pop’Up Collections”, presented across five heritage venues throughout the city. This artistic journey will bring together more than 100 contemporary works from the collections of the FRAC Occitanie – Montpellier, Les Abattoirs in Toulouse, and the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Carcassonne.

Photographs, paintings, sculptures, and installations will engage in a dialogue around the theme of History and storytelling, in resonance with the venues hosting them: the Museum of Fine Arts, the Contemporary Art Centre, the Dominican Chapel, the Grain Hall, and Saint-Gimer Chapel.

An extensive cultural mediation program will accompany the exhibition, including educational activities for schools, guided tours, workshops, artist-led sessions, and meetings with the artists. A partnership agreement between the institutions will formalize this major cultural collaboration.
