With Jean-François Zygel, everything becomes music! Scents, images, phrases, or sensations transform between his ears and under his fingers into melodies, rhythms, and harmonies: a series of delightful improvised compositions that invite us to discover Carcassonne in a new light.

Between virtuosity and fantasy, the famous pianist and composer will share with us, during this exceptional recital, a poetic journey inspired by his own emotions. An unusual and festive sensory experience where the eye hears… and the ear sees!

Pianist, composer, improviser: Jean-François Zygel is loved by music lovers everywhere. Reinventing the art of piano, he turns each of his concerts into a unique, unexpected, and unpredictable event. Happily blending composition, improvisation, and repertoire, his various projects lead him to share the stage with artists from all horizons. This season, his main artistic homes include Salle Gaveau, La Seine Musicale, the Philharmonie du Luxembourg, Les Sables d’Olonne, the Grand Théâtre de Provence, and the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse. Trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris—where he graduated with ten First Prizes—he now teaches the art of improvisation in the class he founded in 2002. His various albums are published by Naïve and Sony.
