Each of these steps, equally important, required artisanal know-how and special tools.<\/p><p>First, the Merino sheep and its wool will be introduced, followed by the sorting and washing of this wool. Subsequently, carding and spinning will be presented with historical tools. Then, warping and weaving on a loom to understand this incredible technique that has existed since the Neolithic era. Next, the profession of the cloth finisher will be explained, and finally, the dyeing process will be addressed, including the importance of the blues of Carcassonne.<\/p><p>The final stage of the House of Wool and Cloth will discuss the Merchant-Manufacturers, the great orchestrators of this entire industry in the city, as well as the former Royal Manufacture of Trivalle.
