With their debut album, La 45 has developed a sound that is both powerful and warm, combining punchy brass riffs with the rhythms of congas and timbales that invite you to dance. String instruments also take centre stage, as the metallic tones of the 12-string guitar meet the warmth of the bass and violin. Intimate lyrics reveal a world full of sensitivity. For their second album, the band set out to explore new sounds, embracing a more modern approach by blending contemporary music styles (trap, rap, electro, ragga...) with traditional rhythms such as merengue and plena. Their instrumentation has evolved too, with the addition of an electric guitar and samplers incorporated into the percussion setup.
