FESTIVAL DE CARCASSONNE - JÉRÉMY MONTANA + LES FRANGINES

Concert | Show

Presentation

Self-taught singer-songwriter, Jérémy Montana began playing guitar at the age of 8. After years in music school and a university stint in musicology, he decided to make his passion his profession and passed on his know-how to his students. At the same time, he performs on stage: it is the ancestral Delta Blues of America from the 30s to the 60s and the English Blues Rock of the 70s which rocks and inspires him. A very Soft Blues Rock universe, as Eric Clapton or JJ Cale would do very well, with a very picking style of playing like Mark Knopfler: his 3 guitar heroes. Very colorful sounds that remind us of certain distant echoes of Pink Floyd but also a very 70's Folk...

--------------------------------------------

Les Frangines is the story of a meeting between two friends: Anne and Jacinthe. With a repertoire that has already won over a very large audience with two albums including a platinum record, a tour of more than 150 dates and a zenith in Paris, the Frangines now present themselves as a sure bet. They return today with an opus as daring as it is captivating. Buoyed by the success of their memorable cover of “Tomorrow from dawn” (2017), a poem by Victor Hugo, the duo is now embarking on a new project: dedicating an entire album to the verses whose authors have deeply inspired them . This 3rd album “Poèmes”, which will be released in May 2024, includes “Tomorrow from dawn” by Victor Hugo, “Le Dormeur du Val” by Arthur Rimbaud and “Liberté” by Paul Eluard. The Frangines will come and present it on stage during an unmissable free concert on the Carnot stage at the OFF Festival in Carcassonne!
