DANIEL FABRE (1947-2016) - SEEING THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN
The anthropologist Daniel Fabre, who passed away in 2016, leaves behind a prolific and original body of work in every respect. The innovative reflections of this researcher enriched the anthropological discipline by revealing the intelligence that man offers to the world. This is why the Delegation for Inspection, Research and Innovation (Ministry of Culture) and the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l'Homme are proposing this exhibition-tribute to Daniel Fabre, which goes hand in hand with the publication of two volumes of tributes and the complete bibliography of this researcher in the collection "Ethnologie de la France et des mondes contemporains". Hosted at the Maison des Mémoires by the Ethnopôle GARAE, which made a major contribution to the exhibition, the exhibition restores the researcher's open-mindedness, his savoury style, his impressive erudition and his taste for making the richness of the universes he explores and shows us accessible to all.
